Baramulla:On the directions of SSP Baramulla Mr Rayees Mohammad Bhat and under supervision of SDPO Uri Mr Junaid Wali,Bijhama Police today distributed face masks and sanitizers in Bijhama area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

In an initiative to prevent common masses from COVID-19 Bijhama Police under the guidance of SHO Bijhama Mr Nasir Ahmad is distributing masks, sanitizers among people in north Kashmir’s Bijhama and other villages of its jurisdiction.

Meanwhile In its bid to strictly implement Covid-19 rules, the Bijhama Police is fining people for not wearing face masks at different spots.

The police also made announcements at busy markets and other places to appeal to all citizens to follow proper guidelines, maintain social distancing, wear proper masks and avoid crowded places. They warned that those found violating Covid-19 guidelines in the area will be strictly dealt with as per the law.

told that in the backdrop of rising cases, police teams across various villages are focusing on areas that have a high footfall, especially market places and he also appealed general public to practice social distancing, stay indoors and act upon guidelines issued by administration for their safety.

Meanwhile people of Bijhama and it’s adjoining areas hailed the initiative by Bijhama Police in wake of current situation.
