Big Shocker: Amit Shah Came In Close Contact With PM Modi Before He Tested Corona Positive

Besides Shah, the meeting was attended by several top ministers of the Modi cabinet, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, was part of the last meeting of the Union Cabinet held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence last week.

 

The crucial cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was held on Wednesday to approve the new National Education Policy.

Besides Shah, the meeting was attended by several top Union ministers of the Modi cabinet, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, all coronavirus-related safety precautions were taken and strict social distancing was also followed.

In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Modi holds most of his meetings through video-conferencing, however, he does not chair cabinet meetings virtually.

As per government sources, strict coronavirus norms are followed during the Union Cabinet meeting at PM Modi’s residence, including mandatory temperature check and Aarogya Setu app check and no use of internal cars to ferry people, PTI reported.
