Already attending classes for next session, students asked to appear in exams for previous year
The students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) are in a dilemma as the authorities have decided to go ahead with examinations for previous year which were yet to be held as students were already attending classes of next session and have completed more than thirty percent syllabus for next session.
The students told that we are in dilemma from last three months as we have completed more than thirty percent syllabus of next session but now suddenly university authorities have directed us to prepare for previous session exams which is mere injustice with us.
Students said that the university’s order has created a lot of confusion because at one hand they are completing the syllabus of next year and on the other hand authorities have suddenly told students that the have to appear in exams for previous session.
“We have not joined even the 30 regular classes of the semester how can we now appear in exams of the previous year which are yet to be held added some students”
“The students are caught between the devil and the deep sea. They do not want to lose the year, but they are also concerned about faring well in the examinations.
The students also told that they are in severe depression due to the sudden announcement of examination as they were conveyed that they have been promoted in next semester and they were already attending classes of next session.
The students appealed Lt.Governor Mr Manoj Sinha to kindly intervene and look into the matter so that they will not face any hardships.
Greater Now tried to contact University authorities to verify the information, but despite repeated attempts they didn’t picked up the call.
