Kupwara:CHAK-KIGAM CAMP under aegis of CHARKUT GARRISON celebrated 74th Independence Day amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the KANDI-KIGAM and Magam Bowl.

Due to Chinese virus the celebration was the low-key affair but it has not lowered the enthusiasm and zeal of people. The entire area witnessed the Independence Day celebration with full fervor and delight.

To mark the 74th Independence Day people came out in great numbers despite CHINESE Virus to participate in the celebration wherein cultural programme and other activities were carried out.

Flag hosting were organized at all the places including Army Goodwill School Krusan. Miss Asifa Begum Chairman of Block Development Committee graced the occasion and hoisted the flag at Primary School, Kigam. Supporting the women empowerment Flag Hoisting at Secondary school, Magam was carried out by Asha workers.

The overwhelming participation from the people was evident especially children holding the tricolor made a special sight during Independence Day celebrations.(Greater Now)
