Indian Army’s 29 RR in continuation with its efforts to enhance the cooperation and bonhomie with People and youth of area organised Sher-e-Pattan Bodybuilding Competition for the local youth under the aegis of 10 Sector RR with assistance from Transformers Gym, Pattan.

It was an unique and competitive event for local youth to channelise their energy in positive direction. 23 bodybuilders participated in 05 different weight categories.

The competition was completed in three rounds in each category. Showkat Ah Hurrah resident of Hamre, Pattan was adjudged Mr Muscles whereas Gazi Khan resident of Kreeri was declared as runners-up. Mr Altaf Rashid, Shameem Ah (ex Mr J&K ) and Akhtar Wani, coach and certified fitness instructor from Gold Gym University Bangalore were the chief guest as well as judges of the event.

The event recieved an overwhelming response from local youth. AWAAM appreciated the efforts of Indian Army and requested Army to conduct such events in future also.
