Army launches North Kashmir Cricket Tournament in Lolab

Kupwara:In an initiative to improve ties with civil population and give them a chance to showcase their talent Chak-Kigam Camp under aegis of Charkut Garrison started North Kashmir Cricket Tournament at Shumrial.

Being played on the lines of T20 format, a total of 16 teams from all over North Kashmir are participating to corner the glory for which finals will be played on 26 Sep 2020. The inaugural match was played between Team Sogam and Team Kigam.

The match witnessed some classic shots, impeccable fielding, emotional bursts and some nail biting moments.

The tournament began with the Pledge ceremony in which the team players vowed to abide by the rules and regulations of the tournament and to display sportsmanship of the highest order.

The morale of the participating teams was evident with the do or die attitude displayed by them while trying to snatch every single run.

Another morale booster was the presence of locals who were representing their team.

The effort of Army for organizing the event was appreciated by everyone who was present to witness the tournament.
