Baramulla 29 July 2021: Women Empowerment Workshop was today organised at Uplona Army Camp under the aegis of Haiderbeig Sector Headquarters.

The event was aimed at enabling the local women to become self-reliant and capable of earning livelihood.

A seminar was also organised wherein the women engaged in Sewing, Embroidery, Knitting etc shared their experiences which was followed by an informative lecture about various government schemes and initiatives for the upliftment of womenfolk.

The event culminated with distribution of Sewing Machines to the budding female entrepreneurs of Kashmir in order to support their small scale business and start-ups.

Such events pave way for a better Army-Awaam relations and helps in fabricating a bright future for the Kashmiri women.
