Any loss of life is sad says GOC 15 corps BS Raju
Srinagar,July 07: In a short video clip Lieutenant General BS Raju General officer Commanding of Srinagar-based 15 Corps stated that militants are always given an opportunity to surrender as the security personnels don’t want to kill them.
” Any loss of life is sad especially the loss of that young boy a week back and the 65 year old man who died recently, It has definitely caught an attention and the viral photographs elicited emotions from the enevironment,” BS Raju said.
Talking on civilian casualties said, “The two places where we had civilian casualties was one in Bijbhera and in Sopore which are very busy towns and as far as militants are concerned when they open fire on civilians they are OK with it because they know that it catches attention.”
He said that the civilian casualties are always avoidable, ” As far as the armed forces are concerned, leave alone the loss of civilian we even don’t want to kill militants and they are always given opportunity to surrender.
