Srinagar: An unindentified militant has been killed in an ongoing operation by security forces in Srigufwara village in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Official sources told Greater Now that, One unidentified militant has been killed so far, while as the identity and affiliation of a slain militant was being ascertained.

Earlier reports said that on a tip off about the presence of militants, a joint team of Army’s 3RR (Rashtriya Rifles), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation in Srigufwara village in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

Meanwhile authorities suspended internet services in area as a precautionary measure in wake of this encounter.

Till this report was filed, the operation was underway in the area.
