One Hizbul Mujahideen militant has been in killed in an ongoing encounter in Larnoo area of Cherri in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Official sources told that one Hizb militant has been killed while operation continues, 01 AK-47 was also recovered. However the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
Pertinently, 183 militants have been killed so far this year in Valley.
Earlier, Reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 19RR launched a cordon and search operation in Larnoo.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.GNS
