Srinagar, Jul 08: The body of a middle aged man, who drowned into river Jhelum on July 01, was fished out on Thursday morning.

A senior official of river police that a 50-year-old man slipped into river Jhelum near Kalashpora on July 01 and confirmed that his body was retrieved on Thursday morning.

He identified the deceased as Muhammad Ashraf Zala, son of Late Abdul Aziz of Kailashpora Srinagar.

A senior police official said that the body will be handed over to the family after all fulfilment of medico-legal formalities.
