Baramulla, May 26: A 13-year-old boy has died after falling of a mountainous ridge in Uri in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports reaching said that the boy had gone to graze his cattle in Nawarunda forest area, falling along Line of Control.

While cutting grass, the 13-year-old identified as Arfad Hussain son of Mir Hussain Kohli slipped of a sharp ridge into a gorge.

After hours of search, the locals retrieved the boy and evacuated him to nearby health facility, however the minor was declared as brought dead on arrival by the doctors there.

A police official confirming the death of the boy told that a case in this regard is underway for further investigations.
