Ganderbal, Nov 1: A class 3rd student and his grandfather were injured in a bear attack in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district today.

Local sources told news agency that a bear attacked an 8-year-old boy in the premises of his home at Dadrem Bagh village of Ganderbal. They said that the grand-father of the boy tried to save him, but also sustained injuries.

The boy has been identified as Farhan Javaid Wani while his grandfather as Farooq Ahmed Wani.

Both were shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal where from doctors referred them to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
