
Kabul: At least 25 Taliban militants, including two commanders, were killed and eight others injured during a raid in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The army gave this information on Saturday.
According to the news agency Xinhua, the Army Corps 215 Mevand said in a statement, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) on Friday launched an operation at Nawah-e-Barkazai in Helmand, which is the cause of the casualties.
The operation was carried out with a view to curbing the activities of terrorists in the area as the terrorists tried to attack the ANDSF targets.
The ANDSF destroyed six militant bases and 25 defense outposts during a raid southwest of Kabul and neutralized four improvised bombs.
The raid by the Taliban militant group is yet to be commented.
