Srinagar, Apr 9: Two persons have died and three others sustained injuries after a bus, they were on board, fell into a 200-metre deep gorge at Gool Ramban area of Jammu division.
Officials told that a Company bus of Age-Patel, working on USBRL Project, bearing registration number JK-02T 4483 met an accident this evening, resulting in on-spot death of two on-board workers besides injuries to three others.
The deceased have been identified as Ranjit Singh son of Kishan Lal, a resident of Seripora Tethara and Mohammad Rafiq son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat and the injured trio as Jahangir Ahmad son of Abdullah Bhat, a resident of Bandhan Sangaldan, Mohammad Waseem saon of Mohammad Ramzan, a resident of Bada Kund Ashmar Sangaldalan and Sajad Ahmad son of Mohammad Sultan, a resident of Bandhan Sangaldan.
The injured persons were evacuated to District Hospital Ramban for treatment.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Ramban while taking to micro-blogging site Twitter wrote: “Sad news coming from Ind, Brala, in Gool SD. A company bus of Age-Patel (working on USBRL Project) met with an accident resulting in the death of 2 persons and injuries to others. Spoke to MS DH Ramban for prioritizing treatment of the injured.”
