Sopore 18 December 2020:Sopore Police traced a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused person involved in the crime within 48 hours.

On 15 December2020, Police Station Tarzoo received a complaint from an individual ( Name Withheld) Resident of Hygam that his 17 years old daughter (Name withheld) she has been kidnapped by one person namely Lateef Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Mohammad Dar R/O Hanjipora Hygam

Accordingly a Case FIR No 119/20 U/S 363 IPC was registered in PS Tarzoo & investigation was taken up.

A special team headed by SHO Police Station Tarzoo was formed and raids were conducted at multiple places. Based on a specific lead, the kidnapped girl was recovered from Hajin Bandipora area within 48 Hours. The accused (Kidnapper) was also arrested.

After completing the medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to legal heirs.

The swift action of Police was hailed by the family and relatives of the girl, who expressed their satisfaction the way Sopore Police handled the case.
