Uri, Apr 28 :One person died and two others were injured in a road accident in Nawarunda area of sub division Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports reaching “Greater Now News” said that one Echo skipped off the road and fell into the gorge in the Nawarunda area, leaving one women dead and two others injured.

BMO Uri Mr Mohammad Ramzan while talking to Greater Now correspondent said that “The Husband and wife along with one other person was in vehicle when it skidded off the road and fell into a gorge.

The deceased woman has been identified as Pakeeza Begum, aged 26 while her husband has been identified as Khursheed Ahmad who is 30 years old”

The duo injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at GMC Baramulla and at Government Hospital Uri.

SDPO Uri Junaid wali while talking to Greater Now said that the Uri police has rushed to the spot and have managed to rescue the injured and both injured have been evacuated to the hospital for further treatment. However a case has been registered in this regard and the further investigation has been taken up”.
