15 April 2021: Srinagar Police has taken cognisance of Parray Pora incident and an FIR has been registered at Police Station Sadder, Srinagar. Legal action has been initiated against the individual and the coaching centre concerned for investigation of this case.

Honorable Mayor of Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattu said that , We are party to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Standard of ‘the best interests of the child’ is now a part of domestic law.

Will seek stringent punishment against the teacher under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Chidren) Act, 2000 and IPC 323, 325 and 506.
