Akhnoor, June 7 : An army soldier died on spot when his foot slipped and his gun went off receiving bullet in his forehead in Akhnoor Sector of Jammu.

Sources told that the foot of a soldier who was part of a patrolling team slipped and he received gunshot wounds in his forehead and died instantly.

The slain soldier has been identified as Head Constable Patil Dashrath, a resident of Sangli Maharashtra.

The incident occurred along LoC in Nathu Tiba area of Jogwan in Tehsil Khour of Akhnoor Jammu.
