Baramulla, Sept 09: In a significant move to provide qualitative education to tribal students via proper infrastructural facilities, education department Baramulla has made special arrangements for tribal seasonal Schools in Gulmarg and it’s adjoining areas. The department has installed about 40 tents in such areas which are fully equipped with basic facilities necessary for obtaining education in a smooth manner.
In this connection, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar accompanied by SSP Rayees Bhat, CEO G M Lone among other concerned officers paid inspection to these schools in order to get the first hand appraisal of various necessities and facilities.
On the occasion, DC took a detailed appraisal of various aspects and interacted with the students and other stakeholders in order to enquire about various facilities being provided to them. They expressed satisfaction over the facilities and hailed the role of Chief Education Officer Baramulla for making best possible arrangements in various tribal seasonal schools.
Meanwhile, the CEO briefed about the initiatives that are being taken for the welfare of such communities. He also underlined the need to extend the benefits of various sponsored and welfare schemes so as to ameliorate their socio-economic condition. He added that more emphasis is being laid on tribal education for which some novel initiatives are being take on the part of education department.
