Srinagar, Sep 04 : Court has extended four days Police remand of Imran Ahmad Ganai, @ Shahid Imran Chief Editor of Kashmir Crown and Ashiq Mir Managing Editor of Kashmir Crown in connection with extortion case, officials said.

Imran was arrest on 27th August 2021, a day after his associate Ashiq Mir was arrested in connection with the case(FIR no.145/2021) under IPC sections of 384 (extortion), 385, 420, 120B and 506 (criminal intimidation) which was registered in Police Station Dangiwacha against the duo.

Confirming the extention of the remand, a police official said that today Shahid and his associate Ashiq were produced before the court for seeking more remand, the court extended the remand by four days, the official added.
