Poonch:In continuation towards its long drawn efforts to promote vaccination & spread awareness among the locals regarding the benefits of vaccination, Indian Army organised a vaccination cum awareness campaign against COVID-19 at Gulpur Helipad, Poonch on 08 Aug 2021.

Indian Army in association with Public Health Dept, Poonch, initiated the vaccination drive as an endeavour to assist the local population residing in the villages close to the border.

This event on witnessed the participation & support being extended to the Armed Forces from the Health department and Sarpanchs of the nearby villages. A population was vaccinated with COVISHIELD vaccine.

Continuous monitoring post vaccination was also carried out by Medical representatives. The individuals were vaccinated under the supervision of the Army as well as the civil medical representatives.

The event culminated with interaction of civilians with the Army over tea & snacks.

Facilitating Civil – Military coordination and bonhomie, the event marked genuine concern and welfare of AWAM by Indian Army in its mandate to support the locals.
