Budgam, Jul 17: Nadiya Mir who is a well known social activist from Budgam district of UT of Jammu and Kashmir while talking to Greater Now said that, “I am a social activist as well as an engineering student”.

Nadiya, founder of “Not Afraid” organization which is based and working on child sexual abuse. Uses to visit schools for the purpose of awareness among students, not only in Budgam but as well as in other districts also. Distibutes booklets among students to aware them.she gets great response from school and as well as the children

While talking to this correspondent, Nadiya said that, “In March I got the training of self defence from Chandigarh and then I came back to Kashmir again for my awareness programs and as well as teaching the techniques too.

I stand for this. I strongly condemn the abusing of child.

At early, I was doing events and all but after seeing so many things around my neighbourhood and my district, I quit and started doing something different.

And I strongly believe that, “To terrify children with the image of hell, to consider women an inferior creation—is that good for the world we live. she added.
