Kupwara:On the eve of World Bicycle Day Army carried out a Bicycle rally giving the message of benefits of riding bicycle thus ensuring good health alongwith Pollution Free Environment.

The day also aims to draw people’s attention towards the fact that cycling is a zero pollution mode of transportation that is good for the environment. June 3 was declared by the United Nations General Assembly as World Bicycle Day. The resolution recognises “the uniqueness, longevity, and versatility of the bicycle, which has been in use for two centuries.” 

The campaign to promote World Bicycle Day was led by Youth of Kigam which gained support of lot of people.

The participants gave out the message of riding bicycles for sustainable economic development and to follow COVID Protocols to check the spread of pandemic and physical fitness.
