Uri, May 19: At least twenty three families have been shifted to safer places in Zamborpatan village of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, after landslide and shooting stones hit Chadya ward no.4 of Zamoorpatan Uri.
While talking to Greater Now news Sarpanch, Noor Hussain Shah of Zamoorpatan said that in the intervening night of 18-19 May land slide and shooting stones wrecked havoc in the area.23 families were shifted to safer places,In past few years so many houses were partially damaged due to these shooting stones and landslides mostly during wet weather, he added.
Locals appeal higher authorities to make all possible efforts to the families and properties which are at stake.
