Srinagar, May 14: Amid shortage of Corona vaccines across the country, the Central Government will give one crore 92 lakh corona vaccines to the state and Union Territories.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave this information on Friday. He said that these vaccines will be given free of cost to the state and union territories from 16 to 1 May.
He said that the allocation of vaccines will be told in advance. Authorities have been requested to direct the concerned States / Union Territories to use the vaccines logically and appropriately.
The Union Minister informed that out of the 191.99 lakh doses of vaccines, 162.5 lakh covishield vaccines and 29.49 lakh covaxin vaccines.
There is a shortage of vaccines in many states in the country. State governments are constantly talking about Corona not being vaccinated.
Due to this, the ongoing vaccination campaign for people above the age of 18 has been stopped in many places.
Many states and union territories like Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Karnataka are also trying to buy vaccines for the people.
