Sopore,Feb 20: Sopore Police continuing its efforts to eradicate the Drug Menace from the Police District Sopore.

In a statement issued to “Greater Now”,A specific Naka was established at Budden Crossing by Sopore Police led by SHO Police Station Dangiwacha Insp. Dr. Yasar Mehmood under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Nissar Ahmad-JKPS apprehended two notorious drug peddlers namely Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Mohammad Dar and Jameel Ahmad Tantry S/O Fayaz Ahmad Tantry R/O Reban Rafiabad alongwith 10 bottles of Codeine Phosphate.

In this regard Case FIR No. 27/2021 U/S 8/22, 29 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation is in progress.

It is pertinent to mention that Sopore police has launched a full fledged war against anti social elements and will continue its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of anti social evils within the Police District.
