Thieves in Police disguise loot truck driver in Central Kashmir’s Manchowa Budgam

Srinagar: A non local Driver who hails from Gujrat was conned by some miscreants disguising as Police in Mouchwa area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on thrusday night.

Srinagar: A non local Driver who hails from Gujrat was conned by some miscreants disguising as Police in Mouchwa area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on thrusday night.

 

The driver was coming from Gujrat to Kashmir with a truck Loaded with Tile chemicals.

 

During the intervening night of Thursday/Friday at around 1:OO Am when the driver reached its original destiny Main chowk Manchowa Budgam to unload the truck, suddenly a group of people surrounded him and dragged him out from the vehicle and posed themselves as A Police team.

 

According to the Driver they checked the documents of vehicle and instructed the driver to come along with them to nearest police station.

 

When they reached near Rambagh area of Srinagar, they pulled out the Driver and fled after looting 15 thousand Rupees of cash from him.

 

The driver had to walk bare foot about two kilometres, While he reached Private hospital (Florence) Chanapora, A local from the area helped him and later dropped the driver at Main chowk Manchowa.

 

Meanwhile locals of Manchowa locality demand strict action against these people who looted the Driver. (KE)
