In a continued effort to extend healthcare support to remote and underserved communities, the Indian Army organised a medical camp at Hanura Village, Kandi Block of Rafiabad, Jammu & Kashmir. The initiative was aimed at providing accessible medical assistance to poor villagers residing in mountainous terrain, where availability of civil medical facilities remains limited.
A dedicated team of Army doctors alongwith doctors of CHC Dangiwacha under BMO conducted comprehensive health check-ups and provided medical consultations to the local population. Essential medicines were distributed free of cost, with special attention given to elderly residents, women, and children who often face difficulties in travelling long distances for treatment. The medical team also sensitised villagers on hygiene, preventive healthcare, and timely management of common ailments.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local populace, who expressed gratitude for the timely and compassionate assistance. Many beneficiaries received professional medical attention for the first time in months, highlighting the importance of such outreach programmes in remote areas.

The initiative has further strengthened the bond of trust and goodwill between the Indian Army and the people of Rafiabad. Through such humanitarian endeavours, the Army continues to reaffirm its commitment towards the welfare and wellbeing of the local community, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches even the most inaccessible regions.
