Sopore, April 13: As a part of Public outreach programme, today Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were held by Sopore police at Police Post Fidarpora Rafiabad and Police Post Bus Stand Sopore,

At Fidarpora meeting was chaired by SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Ameen Bhat-JKPS.

The meeting was attended by respectable Citizens of the jurisdiction of Police Post Fidarpora.

During the meeting, various issues were raised by the participants and were assured issues pertaining to police will be resolved on priority. SDPO Rafiabad also sought cooperation of people in eradicating the social evils prevailing in the society particularly menace of drugs. He also advised the participants to install CCTV cameras at all the commercial establishments/shops.

The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.

Similarly, one more PCPG meeting was conducted by Sopore Police at Police Post Bus Stand, which was chaired by IC PP PSI Aijaz Ahmad, in which traders federations, transport president Manzoor Ahmad , social Activist Ab Rashid sopori ,Vendors president Ab Rashid Malla and others participated.

The motive behind conducting the PCPG meeting was to install CCTV cameras in and outside business units and issues like traffic jam and other social evils were also discussed.

Participants assured to install CCTV camers and full cooperation in sharing the information related to drug abuse and other social evil, so that appropriate steps can be taken against the culprits.
