Army Organizes Free Medical Cum Veterinary Camp

Baramulla, Mar 31: A free medical and veterinary camp was organised by Uplona Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles/ Counter-Insurgency force (kilo) for the people of the village Dangarpura in Baramulla District (J&K) and nearby villages where medical facilities are inadequate.

 

The camp was organised for extending primary health care and facilitating the provisioning of free medical advice to poor & needy people of the area. The Gujjar and Bakarwal community was also benefitted from the team of Army veterinarian’s who treated their livestock, extended preventive treatment and distributed free medicine to them. They were also advised regarding animal care for the upcoming grazing season.

 

In addition, locals were also provided with COVID-19 kits including face masks, hand sanitisers. After necessary consultation by the medical officer, free medicines to the needy person were also distributed. Approximately 150 patients from nearby villages and adjoining areas got treated in the camp. 85 livestock were also given medical treatment and free medicines.

 

This Medical and Veterinary camp fulfilled a long-awaited demand of the local population of Dangarpura and adjoining villages.

 

The aged and the infirm who could not traverse long distances for specialized treatment were benefited the most from this quality Medical care.

 

The relentless efforts of the army have been widely appreciated by locals and have assisted in building a stronger bond between them.
