Pulwama, Oct 15: Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar Friday said that one militant involved in civilian killings in Srinagar city has been killed in Pulwama encounter.

Earlier, a gunfight raged between joint forces and militants in Wahibugh area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The area where exchange of fire took place is adjacent to Pulwama market.

The encounter was in progress till the filing of this report. A militant has been killed, however, his body has not been retrieved yet.

IGP Kashmir in a tweet said that one militant involved in civilian killing in Srinagar city has been neutralized.
