Sopore, Oct 12:  Yesterday on 11 October 2021, Police Station Sopore received information from reliable sources that two ladies(name withheld) have concealed some contraband drugs/substance at their house at Badshah Masjid Batpora Sopore. On receiving this information, case FIR No 255/2021 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered.

Accordingly police team from Police Station Sopore alongwith the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Sopore reached the spot and search was conducted. During the search 300 bottles of Codeine Phosphate (100 ml each), 44 Capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus and an amount of rupees 61640/- were recovered which was seized and sealed on spot by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Sopore. This is in continuation to the effect of Sopore Police to fight against the menace of drug abuse.

General public have appreciated this police action against drug peddlers.
