The ongoing Khel Mahotsava has imbued the youth of Boniyar in the colours of joy, they riding high on the sporting Spirit are displaying their special talent on the playfields in the picturesque backdrop of the Pir Panjal.

Boniyar Khel Mahotsava which commenced on 05 Sep aimed at channelizing the energy of youth in positive direction and keep them away from the Drug Menace.

After high octane Football contests and acrobatic performances during Day Ni Kabaddi, this time it’s the Daughters of Boniyar who have stepped out to prove their skills on the Kho Kho field.

08 Schools and it’s 112 Participants volunteered for the Girls Kho Kho Championship which commenced on 30 Sep as part of Khel Mahotsava.

The zeal and enthusiasm of the players was evident during the electrifying opening ceremony which was attended by Army Officers, Civil Administration Staff, BDC, Sarpanchs and 250 students from Boniyar Tehsil.

The finals are scheduled on 02 Oct which will also mark the commencement of Boniyar Swachhata Abhiyaan by school students .
Khel Mahotsava has surely lit up the atmosphere in this part of Baramulla District, with youth and locals expressing their gratitude towards Army for undertaking the initiative which has revitalized the spirit of youth and its impact on curbing Drug Menace.
